Dr. Lund accepts patients 3 years and up. For those that can’t identify alphabets, he has pictures. It’s critical to find and treat children who may become amblyopic(lazy eye). These must be found early to prevent permanent poor vision, preferably before age 7. Frequently a period of eye patching will restore good vision. Dr. Lund includes free 6 week follow-ups as needed until sight is restored. Sometimes some children don’t respond to patching or will not do it, he refers to a pediatric ophthalmologist. Rarely surgery is necessary if a severe muscle problem is encountered.
The office has a staff member who speaks Spanish/Italian. The vision center next store has multiple Spanish speakers.
